Dialysis is a process, aiming to replace the kidneys and to execute their function instead, shall they stop to function as a result of an acute chronic kidney failure.
Inside a healthy body, kidneys execute many functions, the major of which are to remove substances (such as potassium, acids and urine) out of blood, as the dialysis process is supposed to imitate these activities until a kidney transplantation is accomplished, if there is an opportunity for it
